star could join Aston Villa O'Neill ready to bring in experienced defender

The Sun reports that
Portsmouth defender and former England international Sol Campbell is
close to a move to Villa Park.
Martin O'Neill needs an experienced defender to close the gap after
Martin Laursen and Campbell could fit the bill perfectly.
Campbell (34) has a wealth of experience from all aspects of football,
playing in the Premier League, Champions League and in World Cups and
European Championships.
