Daily Star reports that
Glen Johnson's supposed move to Liverpool is off. Chelsea hijacked the
deal with a confirmed £17.5 million offer that has been accepted by
Portsmouth.
The player himself has earlier said that he is happy at Portsmouth and
would like to stay at the club.
Rumours has also been that Johnson wanted a move to a club that was
involved in Europe to be shure to keep his place in the England squad
for the 2010 World Cup.
Johnson played for Chelsea from 2003 to 2007 and with Jose Bosingwa
reported to be linked with Bayern Munich it could be the ideal move for
the former West Ham defender.
