Tottenham's cash crunch could stop summer spending
Redknapp fears heavy wage demands will make it difficult to sign new players

SOCCERVOICE.COM, 18.06.2009

The Sun reports today Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp fears that he will have to wait with his summer spendings due to heavy wage demands from several targets.

Real Madrid players have been linked with Spurs, but they are used to salleries that would smash the wage policy at the club.

Redknapp also have a squad of many misfits such as Darren Bent, David Bentley, Tom Huddlestone and several others that have to be shipped out before moves for new players can be made.

Redknapp turned Tottenham's fortunes around last season, taking them out of the relegation zone and ending above the middle. He made key signings in Robbie Keane, Wilson Palacios and Jermain Defoe.

Everyone knows that Harry can change and shuffle and get the best out of everything, don't be surprised if he manages to turn this difficult situation around and get a couple of top names to White Hart Lane over the summer
