Liverpool are close to finalise a deal for Gareth Barry, but that could
see another midfielder leaving Anfield for Arsenal
Daily Star reports that Xabi Alonso could be the player Arsene Wenger
turns to in his hunt for an experienced midfielder. Xabi has for many
seasons been a good midfielder at Liverpool but never really been able to
shine as people would expect.
Alonso has been linked with Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus, but could
snub both clubs to join Arsene Wenger at Arsenal and maybe get his big
breakthrough in English football.
