Could the unlikely happen at Man Utd,
never say never !

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (35) played his last game yesterday in his
testimonial against a competetive Espanyol. The Norwegian impressed
heavily in the game he described as "his last"
Solskjaer came on in the 68th minute for Carlos Tevez and, yes he
produced more great passes and good shots than the £ 32 million rated
Argentinian.
Sir Alex said in an interview with Norwegian TV2 after the game that he was
surprised how good Solskjaer was after a year without playing competetive
football.
Sir Alex even said that he could still use Solskjaer as a sub for the last
15 or 10 minutes, after watching the player play so well in the last 22
minutes of the game against Espanyol.
Solskjaer himself described these 22 minutes as some of the most memorable
moments of his Man Utd career and he was satisfied with his performance.
We all know that experienced players can do a great job in the late 30's,
examples of that are Kenny Dalglish, who played on after being the manager
at Liverpool and kept his playing licence. Teddy Sheringham played in the
Premier League until he was 40 and Les Ferdinand played for Leicester at the
age of 38. Paulo Maldini is still playing for AC Milan, he is also close to
40.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer loves football and he will be involved with Man Utd's
reserve team. His knee troubles him but to go out there and perform as he
did yesterday after almost a year out of the game, was a bit shocking.
Premier Leauge clubs buy players for amounts you wouldn't believe was
possible and then a player, half injured, 35 year old and retired goes out
and play like this, fantastic.
We might not have seen the last of Solskjaer. He would not let Sir Alex down
if he asked him to do a job for Man Utd, it was wonderfull to see him out
there again, and every Man Utd supporter had a fantastic time. 69 000 turned
up to watch Solskjaer for 28 minutes, fantastic.
