there are mixed messages about what will happen and here are the latest
from the tabloids
Daily Mail reports that the £ 19 million move could go through, since
Gareth Barry himself has a strong wish to quit Aston Villa and join
Liverpool.
Daily Mirror reports that Barry himself has given Martin O'Neill no option
but to let him go, since he is ready to move on after a long and great
period at Villa Park.
Liverpool Echo reports today that Rafael Benitez still is interested in
signing Gareth Barry and that they have not given up hope to get Barry
before the season starts.
BBC reports that last seasons Aston Villa keeper, Scott Carson, has told
Barry he should grab the chance if it comes and move to Liverpool.
The fact that Aston Villa has accepted that Barry can go, if the price is
right, might see that this deal will go through before the season starts.
