Tottenham, Newcastle, Fulham and
Portsmouth in chase for former Arsenal target

Tottenham and Newcastle are favourites in the chase for a player that
last season was a target for Arsenal
Daily Star reports that Norwegian international
Per Ciljan Skjelbred could be moving to either Newcastle or Tottenham.
Fulham and Portsmouth are also reported to be interested in the Rosenborg
player.
Skjelbred was in front of last season and in the January transfer window
linked with a move to Arsenal, but nothing happened for the player that
previously have turned down a move to join Liverpool.
Skjelbred is hot property and Norwegian press reports today that the player
will stay at Rosenborg, who are not ready to let one of their most valuable
assets leave.
Rosenborg have for several years managed to bring regular Champions League
football to Norway, but will struggle to win the Championship this season.
Skjelbred could follow other great Rosenborg players out in Europe.
John Carew (Aston Villa) and Sebastian Eguren (Villareal) are examples of
players currently doing well in Europe, both with a past in the Rosenborg
shirt.
